Porcelain tiles are ideal surfacing material
Porcelain tile is the best & toughest flooring options and very much suitable for wall application too. Porcelain tiles are highly dense, fired at extremely high temperature and non-porous things that make it so long-lasting and reliable. Hard, dense, and solid, porcelain is resistant to most heavy impact stresses and with its homogeneous body and matt finish glazed porcelain variants can even be used in high traffic commercial environments. Polished glazed porcelain are recommended for residential and premium commercial areas with low to moderate traffic.
Vitrification Process:
It is commonly heard “fully vitrified porcelain” often, and for good reason.
The definition of vitrification is the transformation of a substance into a glass or, in our case, a product with certain glass-like properties. It is process of removing absolute moisture content from the tile body and make it water repellent. Resulting to very low water absorption rate along with its high density and strength in the tile. In many part of Asian Countries porcelain tile is called vitrified tile.
Porcelain tiles are harder to cut through and layout properly and only the good experienced flooring professionals should attempt porcelain tile installation.
